Groundwater Drilling and Logging in Myanmar
The Myanmar Water Resources Utilization Department (WRUD) of the government recently received a training by Mount Sopris Instruments geophysicist Lia Martinez. The WRUD hydrogeologists purchased groundwater well logging instrumentation and a televiewer to increase their ability to construct wells in regions of complex subsurface geology.

Introducing Marcus Donaldson, our NEW Magnetic Resonance Specialist
Mount Sopris is pleased to introduce Marcus Donaldson, magnetic resonance specialist and our link to Qteq, makers of the Borehole Magnetic Resonance (BMR) tool. Marcus received a PhD in magnetic resonance at University of California, Berkeley before joining Schlumberger where he first worked as a wireline field engineer.

Mount Sopris geophysicist Lia Martinez recently traveled to Vietnam where she met with a Hydroelectric Energy company (Electricity Vietnam EVN) and their geologists for OPTV optical televiewer training. The focus on developing and maintaining safe hydroelectric power in Vietnam has become a national priority.
