Description
The Pathfinder is our newest generation of small, portable borehole logging winch — ideal for shallow borehole applications and for transportation into remote areas. It replaces and improves upon our older Miniwinch line, spooling up to 333 m of 3.17 mm (1/8 in) single conductor cable. The system includes a slip ring and connections through which surface instrumentation communicates with the probe, plus a precision measuring wheel and rotary encoder to track the cable played out, with a manually operated tiller-arm level wind. It is used with the ScoutPro, MSI 360 Digital Camera, or Matrix consoles and a portable PC to achieve a complete logging system.

Configurations
Mount Sopris can customize a Pathfinder winch to your requirements:
- Power/electrical: 120 VAC or 230 VAC, with US/Canadian, European, or Australian style plug. The winch is factory-set for one voltage and cannot run at another without rewiring (a red label below the POWER IN connector indicates a 230 VAC configuration).
- Cablehead: supplied with the 2CHS-1000 Mount Sopris single conductor cablehead or the 2CHG-1000 Gearhart-Owen four conductor cablehead.
- Cable length: single conductor 3.17 mm (1/8 in) cable up to 333 m (1092 ft), a 233 m option, or no cable.
The small aluminum tripod and ship kit are sold separately.
