Reno Nevada American Mining Exploration Show 2017

Join us at the Nugget Casino Resort in Sparks/Reno, Nevada December 4-8, 2017 for the 123rd Annual Meeting for the American Exploration and Mining Association (AEMA)

Lia Martinez from Mount Sopris will be located in Booth 761 at the American Exploration and Mining Association Annual Meeting in 2017. We can update you about new products such as the Spectral Induced Polarization probe and IWA 2500 meter downhole winch.

The American Exploration & Mining Association is a 122 year old, 2,000 member, national association representing the minerals industry. AEMA is the recognized national voice for exploration, the junior mining sector, maintaining access to public lands, and represents the entire mining life cycle, from exploration through production to reclamation and closure. AEMA’s Annual Meeting and Exposition is longest running, and  second-largest annual mining convention in the U.S.

Nashville Tennessee Groundwater Wells and Logging Show 2017

National Groundwater Week in Nashville

Visit Jim LoCoco and Taylor Weber from Mount Sopris at Booth 718 at NGWA Ground Water Week December 5 – 7!  We have some things to talk to you about, including an upcoming Groundwater Module for WellCAD and some new downhole tools that will yield useful information to drillers, hydrogeologists, city water planners, engineers, etc. Groundwater Week is an annual conference featuring education, exhibits, and networking with the industry’s finest from around the world.

You can now rent the new BMR (Borehole Magnetic Resonance) tool from Mount Sopris.  With this tool you will have real time information about aquifer characteristics including hydraulic conductivity, clay-bound water, capillary water, and movable water.  Also, new from Mount Sopris is the QL40-nGEN non-active source neutron porosity tool.  Neutron porosity is an excellent measurement, but everybody has been tentative running this tool because it uses an active source, typically Am241Be. But now you can collect neutron porosity information in water wells without having to deploy a radioactive source in a well or borehole!

Another downhole tool advancing through validation phase this year is the new QL40-SIP (Spectral Induced Polarization) tool, another methodology to draw inference about hydraulic conductivity in water wells.

Mount Sopris has clearly been a world leader in slimline natural gamma for over 50 years, and know we have developed the smallest true natural gamma geophysical logging tool in the in the world.  Our new 19mm (3/4”) 19GR, “Nano-Gamma” tool fits inside most geo push-tubes for soil horizon profiling.

Come and see this gamma tool and get information about the others at our NGWA Ground Water Week Booth!  See you soon…
