Product Update: Wireless Handheld Gamma Ray Spectrometers

RS-232 Geoscientists scanning rocks The Second Generation of RS handheld gamma ray spectrometers continue to deliver advanced capabilities and Bluetooth® / wireless connectivity for today’s geoscientists. The RS-225 Super-SPEC Handheld Gamma Ray Spectrometer and RS-232 BGO Handheld Gamma Ray Spectrometer are designed to provide:

  • Modern functionality
  • Improved performance
  • Seamless wireless communication for efficient data collection and analysis

As part of a recent product update, newly manufactured First Generation handheld detectors including the *RS-125 and RS-230, will no longer include Bluetooth® / wireless connectivity capability. This change is the result of component availability challenges affecting the hardware required to support wireless functionality in these legacy platforms.

RS-225 Ideal for geoscientists and field exploration Customers requiring Bluetooth® connectivity can continue to select from the current RS handheld product line. Bluetooth® / wireless connectivity remains available in the following Second Generation models:

Importantly, this update only affects newly manufactured First Generation units. Existing RS-125, RS-220, and RS-230 instruments equipped with Bluetooth® / wireless connectivity capability will continue to be supported and serviced.
