2023 AEMA Mining Exploration and NGWA Groundwater Annual Meetings next week!

Las Vegas syline

Mount Sopris Instruments will be attending both the National Groundwater Association Groundwater week (NGWA) and the American Exploration and Mining Association (AEMA) annual meetings next week in Las Vegas, Nevada and Reno, Nevada. The NGWA Groundwater week goes from December 5-9, 2023 and the AEMA meeting goes from December 3-8, 2023.

In Las Vegas at NGWA, Mount Sopris will be in a large double booth #447. We will have a wide variety of equipment on hand for demonstration. Check out the only digital borehole camera available in this industry: the MSICAM360 developed in conjunction with our partners DGRT from Australia.  A 40GRP-1000 combination gamma and resistivity probe and the newly released portable PathFinder winch will also be on display.

Jim LoCoco, Hanna Flamme, and Ruben Westerberg (DGRT) will be in attendance.  Ned Clayton from our partner Orica with WIREBmr will also be in at the show and can meet with customers to discuss Borehole Magnetic Resonance and it’s applications for collecting porosity and permeability data downhole.  Stop by to see them and test this new generation digital camera that is viewed in real time by anyone on site with a cell phone. Add borehole geophysics and video to complement and expand your drilling services.

Lia Martinez will be representing Mount Sopris Instruments at the American Exploration and Mining Association (AEMA) annual meeting in Reno in Booth 414. She will be in attendance with our partners Claus Bachmann and Alexander von Sengbusch from JC Bachmann promoting their Iberia downhole XRF probe.

JC Bachmann will showcase its Borehole XRF Elemental Analyzer Probe IBERIA 70 during the conference. Come and meet their experts to discuss the technology and benefits around logging in real-time, accurate and precise concentrations of elemental concentration for exploration and extraction. The XRF probe will be on hand and we can discuss data outputs and logging possibilities in real time.

Orica will be in booths 415 and 417 across from Mount Sopris promoting the Axis Mining Technology gyro and the BMRWire nuclear magnetic resonance tool. Dave Ludlow, Global Commercial Manager of Orica Ore Body Intelligence (OBI) group will be attending as well as Ben St-Onge from their Canada office. Mount Sopris is the official distributor for Axis Mining gyroscopes and the BMR tool in the United States and we have a full range of equipment available in our Rental pool.

Lastly, don’t forget to stop by our booths on Thursday afternoon to get a free Blue Moon beer during our Happy Hour between Mount Sopris and Orica!
