Imaging probes, also known as televiewers, produce a continuous 360° unwrapped digital picture of the borehole wall. The acoustic televiewer transmits ultrasonic pulses toward the formation and then records the amplitude and travel time of the signals – making the tool ideal for borehole deformation description, stress field analysis, and casing inspection.

The optical televiewer produces an extraordinarily clear image of the borehole wall in either air or clear water, making it ideal for lithological, mineralogical and structural analyses.
