32DEN 4-Pi – Gamma-Gamma Density

The 32DEN 4-Pi Gamma-Gamma Density tool can be used to collect quantitative (when calibrated) density information of the material surrounding the borehole. It is most commonly used for geotechnical assessment of cement pile access tubes.  Plots which graph density in lbs/ft3 (kg/m3), can be generated in real-time.

A 4-foot diameter pile, 100 feet deep, with eight, 2 inch ID access tubes can be logged is less than 2 hours in normal conditions.  These quick, reliable surveys help Engineers make decisions in the field, saving time and money for the client.

This density tool uses a single detector, which collects formation density data in a spherical radius slightly larger than the source-detector spacing. In comparison to Dual Detector Density, this tool is lightweight, more cost effective, and designed with a thin diameter for use in 2 inch holes. It has the option of being used as a simple natural gamma tool, without bowspring for 2 inch tubes, or with a bowspring as side-wall density.
