Borehole logging for mining applications

Mount Sopris has recently developed a new induced polarization (IP) tool, designed for mining applications.  The tool output Ma IP for user-defined time windows on the 16 and 64 inch electrodes.

Coal Logging with MSI logging tools

Mount Sopris has manufactured quantitative, in-situ, density tools since the late 1970's.  Density, along with other common geophysical logs, gamma, resistivity, sonic, etc. are used to estimate in-situ coal, ash, and water percentage analysis logs.

Environmental Logging Applications

Today the Matrix Portable Logger is commonly used in environmental projects.  The ultralight systems are capable of running just about any downhole measurement desired; this includes the heat-pulse flow meter, which measures ambient flow down to approximately 0.02 gpm.  Slimline gamma tools, along with induction and others, are used to map soil horizons.  For those with radioactive source licenses, slimline neutron tools profile moisture content in the vadose zone  and porosity in saturated media.

Ground Water & Hydrogeological Logging Applications

A comprehensive suite of borehole geophysical methods have been used for many years to measure physical properties of geologic material around the borehole, formation fluid, and well construction materials.

Mount Sopris Loggers for Oil & Gas Applications

Mount Sopris geophysical logging systems can be used to help estimate reservior thickness, porosity and permeability.

Mount Sopris tools for Shale Gas Applications

Advancing technologies have made shale gas a worldwide asset!  QL40 tools can be used in shale basins where downhole temperatures do not exceed 85 C and pressures are below 200 Bar.
